Brian Porter - Baltimore Brian began working for BISM’s Rehabilitation Department in January 2012 as the Woodshop Instructor for the CORE adult residential training program. Brian’s presence was immediately felt as he went through orientation in the Rehabilitation Program and other BISM divisions. In July 2012, BISM’s Woodshop was officially reopened with Brian Porter managing the operation after it had been closed for several years. Brian helps to teach cane travel classes as well. Brian discovered that he really enjoyed teaching travel class and was accepted into an Orientation and Mobility Training program. Once completing the certification program, he will have the ability to train other people to teach travel. |

Stan Wafford - Ft. Knox Stan began working in July 2009 with BISM’s AbilityOne Base Supply Center at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He has been essential to the success of the Fort Knox Base Supply Center. Stan always is the first to greet customers and takes the primary role of facility maintenance. He volunteered to take charge in many areas of facility maintenance such as cleaning, outside maintenance and floor care where we have realized a savings of $8,400 per year. He provides great customer service and has developed many professional and personal relationships with our customers. Stan was instrumental in the Fort Knox BSC achieving their best year-end inventory of 99.99%. He makes sure all of the marketing materials for the Credit Card classes are organized and prepared before each class. Stan also assists in the warehouse receiving during our busy season to ensure that the customers have all the products available to them. |

Francis Black - Baltimore Congratulations to Baltimore Cutting Associate Frances Black for winning the prestigious 2012 Associate of the Year award! Frances, who celebrated her 30th year at BISM in 2012, is an outstanding associate and a very kind, caring person. Currently, Frances is the Fabric Spreading Inspector and Operator of the Gerber computerized cutting machine. |

Ruth Sagar - Baltimore Congratulations to Ruth Sager for being nominated for the Milton J. Samuelsson Career Achievement Award Ruth has been employed by BISM for over 16 years and is currently Coordinator of Senior Services in Baltimore. |

Devene Spence - Salisbury Congratulations to Devene Spence for being nominated for the Peter J. Salmon Direct Labor Employee of the Year Award. Devene has been a versatile BISM associate for over 27 years at the Salisbury plant. |
